Khalifah Method Teacher's Training @TTDI

Last weekend Teacher's has attended the 2 days course of Khalifah Method Teacher's Training. This time around, the training was conducted @TTDI. For teachers whom have attended the similar training this will be a refresher course for them and whom new in ATFAL will get the chances to learn more about Khalifah Method.

On the first day, The Trainer (Pn. Sharena) mostly touched on the theory of Laws of Learning, Islamic Psychology and Khalifah Method. Basically, Laws of Learning involve what is commonly called reward and punishment.

Some of the tips from Laws of Learning topics we learned :

1. Any behaviour that is followed by reward (reinforcement) will tend to increase in the future.

2. Any behaviour that is followed by punishment will tend to decrease in the future. However Punishment is always harmful to the child even if it seems to achieve the parent's goal.

3. The alternative to punishment should not be permissiveness (meaning to let your child do anything they want), if there is anything more harmful to the child's development than punishment it is permissiveness.

4. The right alternative to punishment in raising a child is called directed positive influence.

We are also reminded that our Responsibility as Khalifah of Allah.

1. To make themselves good! - Its always START from ourself!

2. To help others (society) become good! - Start influence other to practise good deeds.

3. To make the physical world good. (clean and beautiful)!

On the 2nd Day, we had a group activities, eg. creating rules and regulation in class align to Khalifah Method ways. Tpic bellow T. Jun and others were busy throwing ideas for thier team's presentation.

Allhamdulilah by having this training, will help to teachers to understand better the concept of Khalifah Method and Laws of Learning. Insy'Allah upon completion of this traning teacher will have more ideas on how to implement Khalifah MEthod in thier classroom.
